La nueva materialidad como correspondencia
Ejemplos tecnológicos emergentes en los espacios públicos

Hoy, la concepción de la materialidad ha evolucionado para abarcar tanto lo material como lo inmaterial, así como lo humano y lo no humano. Partiendo de los fundamentos filosóficos del nuevo materialismo, este estudio interpreta la materialidad como una forma de correspondencia. Esta interpretación se basa en una perspectiva no dualista y no jerárquica, conceptualizando la correspondencia como un diálogo que se abre a un mundo que trasciende lo meramente subjetivo, un modo de comunicación que tiene lugar entre las "cosas". Dentro de este marco, los proyectos D-Tower, Amphibious Architecture, I’m Lost in Paris y Air Bubble, todos realizados en espacios públicos urbanos, se examinan desde la perspectiva de la nueva materialidad como correspondencia. En estas obras públicas, la materialidad se define como un campo relacional de interacción en el que se produce la correspondencia—un espacio en el que las cosas establecen relaciones de escritura y respuesta entre sí.
