Article Processing Charges (APC) Policy
Article Processing Charges (APC) Policy
Street Art & Urban Creativity (SAUC) applies a transparent and clearly defined Article Processing Charges (APC) model intended to support the editorial, technical, and dissemination processes required for high-quality academic publishing.
Editorial Independence
Payment of the APC has no influence on editorial decisions.
All manuscripts submitted to the journal are evaluated exclusively on the basis of their academic quality, originality, methodological rigor, and relevance to the journal’s thematic scope. The peer review process is conducted independently of any financial consideration.
APCs are only requested once the manuscript has been formally accepted for publication, after successfully completing the full peer review process.
APC Structure
The Article Processing Charge (APC) is €302.50 (VAT included), broken down as follows:
- Editorial management (receipt, follow-up, and communications): €60
- Peer review coordination: €50
- Copy-editing and language revision: €40
- Professional layout and typesetting: €35
- Digital production and metadata preservation: €25
- Anti-plagiarism tools, DOI, Crossref, and digital preservation: €20
- Technological infrastructure (server, OJS platform): €15
- Dissemination and indexing: €5
- Administration: €0
Subtotal: €250
VAT (21%): €52.50

Language and Translation Policy
The APC does not include professional translation services. The responsibility for providing translations of manuscripts rests solely with the authors. Therefore, any manuscript requiring translation must be submitted together with the corresponding translated version, duly reviewed by the authors, who are responsible for ensuring its quality, accuracy, and linguistic appropriateness.
What the APC Covers
The APC covers the full editorial and publication process, including:
- editorial management and communication with authors
- coordination of external peer review
- language revision and copy-editing
- professional layout and editorial design
- DOI assignment and metadata indexing
- digital preservation and long-term access
- dissemination and visibility on academic platforms
Final Statement
SAUC remains firmly committed to the highest standards of academic publishing and guarantees that the financial aspects of the editorial process are clearly separated from scientific evaluation and editorial decision-making.
