About Drawing and Vision

It is proposed a reflection on the relationship between drawing and vision, considering that vision as the first creative act in artistic process. Introduction presents parameters of physiology of vision, and possible physiological, technological and educational aspects. Then, from a metaphorical perspective, and guided by María Zambrano's work it reflects on the significance of developing a clear vision for the creative process. Based on the metaphor of a flame the article analyzes the symbolic value of vision and its relationship to contemplation, where the creative act would be seeing as a process of revelation in a state of beauty.
