El Endurecimiento de las Políticas de la Unión Europea contra las Grandes Plataformas en el Marco de la Lucha contra la Desinformación

En los últimos años asistimos a un endurecimiento en la política de la UE en la lucha contra la desinformación en relación con las plataformas en línea. Se ha pasado de políticas de derecho blando en las que las plataformas no asumían obligaciones fuertes, a medidas de corregulación en las que las plataformas, en particular las de gran tamaño, asumen obligaciones más sólidas. Ello se debe a la escasa eficacia de las políticas iniciales en este terreno y a la constatación de la gravedad del reto de la desinformación, como la pandemia del Covid y el uso de desinformación por parte de Rusia contra los intereses de la UE y sus estados miembros.
