La Arquitectura de la Información (AI) organiza los contenidos digitales, desde interfaces web hasta pantallas de cajeros automáticos y salpicaderos de coches. Además de la estructura, abarca el etiquetaje y la organización de la información en cada interfaz. Se presenta mediante mapas mentales y es esencial tanto entornos académicos como profesionales. En productos complejos como en redes sociales, se emplean diversos patrones de AI simultáneamente. Esta investigación introduce la AI a las Ciencias de la Comunicación Aplicada, destacando su importancia para mejorar la Experiencia de Usuario en redes sociales. Con este estudio se identifican patrones estándar y nuevos tipos de mapas mentales para la creación digital.
