La cultura visual en la era de la inteligencia artificial: Un estudio bibliométrico

Una aportación al mapeo de colaboraciones y temas emergentes

Resumen

La cultura visual contemporánea atraviesa una mutación profunda impulsada por la inteligencia artificial. Este estudio bibliométrico examina la evolución científica del campo entre 2014 y 2024, a partir de 93 artículos indizados en Scopus. Se utilizaron MASHA, VOSviewer y Biblioshiny para analizar redes de coautoría, tendencias temáticas, fuentes de publicación y dinámicas geopolíticas. Los resultados muestran un crecimiento exponencial desde 2021, con énfasis en visión computacional, estética generativa y crítica cultural. Sobresalen los aportes europeos sobre sesgos perceptuales y autoría algorítmica. Se evidencia una concentración del conocimiento en el norte global y una limitada representación del sur global. El estudio traza un mapa crítico del campo y propone una agenda transdisciplinaria para investigadores en artes, humanidades digitales, comunicación y ciencia de datos. Plantea además futuras investigaciones con enfoques mixtos que aborden los impactos éticos, culturales y simbólicos de la IA visual.
