Resumen

El aumento significativo de la existencia y explotación de imágenes y vídeos sexuales autogenerados por niños y niñas, es el enfoque del nuevo Informe de seguimiento presentado por el Comité de Lanzarote del Consejo de Europa en Roma. En 2017, la explotación de material sexual generado por niños y niñas ya se percibía como un riesgo potencialmente grave. Más tarde, en 2019-2020, se observó un gran aumento de la existencia de material sexual generado por menores. La situación de pandemia derivada de la Covid-19, exacerbó tal realidad. Dicho Informe examina 43 Estados europeos Partes de la Convención
de Lanzarote, con especial mención al hecho de prevenir esta forma particular de explotación sexual de niños y niñas, investigarla y procesarla, mejorar la identificación y protección de las víctimas e igualmente, una mejora del marco legal en esta materia con las consiguientes orientaciones a los respectivos gobiernos.
