Abstract

This article examines the integration of Smart Technologies (ST) in education, highlighting opportunities such as personalized learning, while also addressing challenges like equity and access. Through a bibliographic analysis of regulations and curriculum trends in the U.S. and Europe, pedagogical practices and design criteria that promote an ethical and effective use of ST are identified. The results reveal a significant digital divide in education with Artificial Intelligence (AI), underscoring the need to foster both technological and human competencies. The article proposes an approach that combines the use of artificial intelligence with training in critical skills within intercreative digital environments, while addressing the socio-emotional needs of students. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the importance of developing educational frameworks that effectively integrate AI, tackling ethical and social challenges to ensure a more inclusive and adaptive learning experience.
