Contemporary Photography in the City’s Body

This paper presents reflections on the use of photography in artistic projects of urban intervention, from the example of the works “Imagens Posteriores” (2000-2013) of Patricia Gouvêa, “Polaroides (in)visíveis” (2005-2010) of Tom Lisboa e “Giganto” (2008-2014) of Raquel Brust. It is intended, then discuss the relationship between photography and city photography and reception / production, photography and time and thus reflect on the city as a space of intervention, appropriation and reinvention.
