Street Art & Urban Creativity
Street Art & Urban Creativity is a multidisciplinary scientific journal dedicated to the exploration and analysis of three key fields: Visual and Performing Arts, Miscellaneous and Communication. Our aim is to foster the exchange of ideas and the advancement of knowledge in these areas by providing a platform for original research, critical debate and interdisciplinary synthesis.
Visual and Performing Arts: In this section, we focus on studies that explore various forms of visual and performance art, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, film, videomapping, theater and dance. We seek work that addresses both theory and practice, as well as studies that connect these arts to social, historical, and cultural contexts.
Miscellaneous: This section is a space for varied and emerging topics that do not strictly fit into conventional categories. Here, we encourage the presentation of research that challenges established boundaries, offering new perspectives and approaches. It is a forum for exploring novel ideas, unexpected interconnections and emerging areas of study.
Communication: Dedicated to communication studies in all its forms, this section welcomes research on media, journalism, public relations, digital communication, communication theories and more. We are especially interested in work that examines how communication influences society, politics, culture, and the individual.
At Visual Review we are committed to academic excellence, research integrity, and the promotion of constructive dialogue. We invite researchers, scholars and practitioners from a variety of disciplines to contribute their latest findings and innovative perspectives. We welcome research articles, reflective articles, review articles, reviews, and also proposals for the publication of monographs (special issues). The journal has an anonymous peer review process (double blind), and publishes texts written in Spanish and English.
Note: previously, articles were published in Portuguese, but now proposals in this language are no longer accepted.
We currently publish articles in both English and Spanish. For articles to be translated into the other language a supplement of 300€ must be paid, otherwise they will be published only in the language submitted.
